How far is the Blue Cave from Split?

The Blue Cave is on the island of Biševo located near the island of Vis. The boat ride from Split lasts around an hour and a half.

How to get to Blue cave from Split

The island of Biševo has no local ferry lines from Split. The only way to get to the island and to the Blue Cave is by private boats.

How do we enter the cave?

Upon arrival at the Biševo island it is necessary to embark a paddle boat small enough to enter the cave. The local guide will slowly cruise towards the entrance where you will duck your heads to enter.

Over the past few years, the number of visitors has highly increased and in order to preserve its natural form, swimming is no longer allowed.

What is the price of the entrance tickets to the Blue Cave?

The price of the entrance tickets to the Blue Cave from July 1 – August 31 are 13€ /adult and 7€ for children from 6 – 12yrs. During low season the price of the entrance tickets to the Blue Cave are € /adult and 5€ for children from 6 – 12yrs. Children under the age of 6 can enter the cave free of charge.

Does the cave operate in bad weather?

The entrance to the Blue cave is very small. During rainy weather and when the sea is wavy, the sea level rises and closes the entrance. It is then not possible to enter, however, our team keeps track of the weather forecast and in case the cave is closed the trip will be cancelled or rescheduled.

Is the Blue Cave in Croatia worth it?

It may seem a little far from Split, making some wonder if it is worth taking up the whole day to do the tour. Considering if you were to visit all of these locations on your own using the local ferry – it would take a few days and you wouldn’t be able to reach all of the islands. This tour is designed as an island hopping tour to make the most out of the day with plenty of sightseeing.

Is there a minimum number of passengers required to book?
